Port Aransas Fishing Charter Info
If your looking for Port Aransas Fishing Guide you have come to the right place. We are the premiere Port Aransas fishing charter service in the area. Are guided fishing trips start out at $550 a day for 2 and $50 for each additional person. If your looking to sight cast Red Fish in the flats around Shamrock Cove or catch a limit of Speckled Trout off the oyster reefs around Bird Island we have you covered. If you are wanting to catch Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia and Lings we can do that too depending on the weather.
We have been fishing these local bay systems all of our lives and have been in business doing as a full time fishing guide for over 10 years. We don’t have a guarantee you will catch fish like some other charters but that is not because we are not confident, it is because we are realist and know that isn’t something we can control. 99% of the charters that offer a guarantee don’t specify what type of fish or size so they will catch you a fish just not the type your after. We would rather focus on catching you the game fish you want and worry about catching you any fish to meet some bogus guarantee. We let our clients, reputation and glowing reviews speak for its self.
I guarantee I will do everything in my power and control to make sure you have a great time, stay safe, and catch as many of the fish you want to catch as we can. That is not only a promise but the underlying philosophy our company has grown on over the last decade.
We just got back to our room in Port Aransas after our trip with eddie and it was great. Very professional service, he was on time and had everything we needed on our trip all we had to do was show up.
The East Flats found behind Port Aransas Texas is a fairly shallow grass flats with a muddy bottom. It is made up of little cuts that run through it creating one of the best fishing spots for redfish, flounder and trout year round. It is a great area for wade fishing or drifting in your boat.
Lydia Ann Channel
The Lydia Ann Channel is the primary connection between the Aransas Bay, Redfish Bay and Corpus Christi Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. It is surrounded by reefs, grass flats and cuts on both sides that are great for fishing all year. All Texas inshore game fish can be found in this channel.
Because of where it is located and how it is positioned Quarantine Shoreline is one of the best locations for drift fishing in the area. It has a firm sand bottom and because it drops off in depth to 6 and 8 feet quickly it is one of the best trout fishing spots.
Shamrock cove is one of my all-time favorite fishing locations around Port Aransas. The depth varies a lot from very shallow to 8 to 10 feet with the various cuts throughout it. It has excellent structure everywhere and I truly can’t say enough about how much I like this little area of our Texas coast.
Wilsons Cut is near or apart of Shamrock Cove depending on who you ask but it has quite the reputation on its own. It is an old oilfield channel that opens into the Corpus Christi Bay. Redfish and trout can be caught long the drop offs on the edges of this channel all year.
Middle Pass is east of the Lydia Ann Channel and runs up into the grass flats behind St. Joseph Island and produces Redfish, Trout and Flounder throughout the year. You can fish the flats when it’s cooler and the drop offs and pot holes in the summer and have a lot of success.
